Rates: The hourly rate for all phases of litigation consulting and expert witness work is $195 per hour.  This applies to all time involved with these matters including client meetings, document review, site surveys, research, reporting, local travel time, depositions and court testimony.  The hourly rate on cases obtained through referral agencies such as TASA may run slightly higher.

Out-of-State Travel Time Caps: The color coded map below shows maximum round trip travel time charges for mainland states.  Travel time caps for Alaska, Hawaii and foreign travel are negotiable.

Maximum round trip travel time charges

Expenses: Expense charges include reimbursement times a factor of 1.2.  In many cases, travel costs can be significantly reduced by the use of a mileage-free rental auto rather than by travel on commercial airlines.

Terms: Payment terms are net 30 days.  Interest at the rate of 1.5% per month (18% per annum) will be applied to any balance outstanding beyond 30 days. In some cases, a discount of 2% may apply to invoices paid in 15 days or less.  In most cases a retainer is not required.  Unless previously otherwise agreed upon, it is the attorney, not the client of the attorney, who is responsible for payment of invoices.

(Rates, travel time caps and expense charges are subject to revision without notice.)
